HIT OR FLOP: Nimki Mukhiya, Bepannah, Kumkum Bhagya, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah?

Let’s begin this week’s report with the new entrant to the Top 10. Jennifer Winget’s show made a smashing entry to the list in Week 12 (March 17-23). However, post that, it vanished from the list. Now, it has re-entered and acquired the 10thspot in Week 18 (April 28- May 4).

Bhumika Gurung, Abhishek Sharma and Indraneil Sengupta starrer Nimki Mukhiya failed to make it to the list of most-popular shows, yet again. In the week in question, it occupied the 18th spot.

Furthermore, for the past few weeks, Kumkum Bhagya has been fluctuating on the leader board. However, in Week 18, it shot back to No. 2. Goes without saying, its spin-off, Kundali Bhagya was the most-watched show.

Zee TV’s Ishq Subhan Allah retained its position at No.3. The show tells the story of Kabeer (Adnan Khan) and Zara (Eisha Singh), both devout followers of Islam, who happen to interpret the Quran very differently. While Kabeer is a ‘maulvi’ (priest) who abides by the widely followed, traditional moral ethical code of conduct, Zara is a well-educated young woman who applies the teachings of Allah to a logical, liberal way of life based on modern fundamentals of practicality, rationality, gender equality, justice and fairness.

Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala stood 6th, while Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel-starrer acquired the 7th spot.

Finally, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was at No.8. You may notice that the comedy show, which was once a Top 5 staple, has been featuring at the bottom of the list for weeks now.
